Project Management – research new web technologies to be implemented on our site to enhance user experience and facilitate alumni communication and community building. Work with business analysts and development team to specify requirements, QA and roll-out new product offerings. Develop marketing materials and how-to guides to ensure a smooth transition of product enhancements and upgrades for end-users. Manage third-party vendor relationships from evaluation of products to successful implementations according to University security and policies.
Email Consultant – design and code HTML email with cross-client compatibility. Increase email effectiveness through design and content.
Web Trainer – design and teach email best practices classes to GSB staff with emphasis on branding, increasing open-rate and overcoming spam filters to get results from mass email. Present product update presentations to staff and alumni board members/ advocates to facilitate new usage.
Social Networking Guru – present lectures to alumni and staff on various aspects of social networks covering how to use the popular networking sites for personal (alumni ’58-’10) or business (staff) purposes.
IT Consultant for Small Businesses/Non-Profits, Freelance — 2002-PRESENT
Complete website setup and design for small businesses and non-profits – work with clients to discuss their business needs and implement appropriate solutions that allow them to manage their own website upon completion of the project. Training and ongoing maintenance agreements also provided. Majority of projects use WordPress as their CMS for ease of use and minimal software requirements for clients.
Computer technical support and training - support small business clients with their computer systems and networks. Provide technical support and training sessions via remote desktop, phone, email and on-site visits.
IT Analyst, Avon Products, Inc, Rye, NY — 2003-2006

Managed and maintained avonwalk.org and needforspeedrelay.org – supported 10,000+ end-users’ use of the website as a fundraising tool, with the majority of the $15m+ raised annually coming through online donations. Responded to website customer service in a timely manner. Implemented annual site re-design and new event websites using CONVIO CMS. Performed daily content updates of event websites for effective communication with participants, donors and visitors. Designed and coded mass-emails to participants and donors.
Performed nightly syncs between CONVIO and DonorPerfect fundraising databases – maintained data integrity across multiple databases. Performed record corrections to appropriately reflect actual donations as necessary.
Supported 100+ staff with IT help desk inquiries – managed staff desktops, laptops, networks and backups in 8 field offices across the United States, primarily via remote desktop.
On-site deployment and management of 80 laptop, portable LAN in hotel event spaces to facilitate event registration and fundraising. Managed volunteers’ use of laptops and custom registration website. Diagnosed and repaired wired/wireless LAN connections and quick solutions for hotel interference.
Developed database solution for participant medical information collection, approval, storage, and retrieval in emergency situations on events using Microsoft Access.
